Presentations
Establish yourself as an authority

Each company presenting at TechLeaders gets five-minutes to hook the media with their predictions and thoughts on the issues that will shape the year ahead.

The core content of TechLeaders sessions is the vendor presentations.

In these presentations, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Present for 5 minutes

  • Establish yourself as an expert

  • Educate the media

  • Lead the conversation

This component of the session goes for about 30 minutes, with up to six speakers presenting for five minutes each. Your goal should be to help journalists to understand, from your perspective, what issues and technologies are going to be important during the year ahead.

In today's media environment, journalists don't have a lot of time to spend as much time, ringing around their contact base looking for expert opinion. So if you're able to establish yourself as an expert and authority on the market segment that you work in, you will find journalists consistently ringing your for commentary or opinions.

That should be your primary objective during your presentation - provide the journalists with unique, expert insight into the market and position yourself as an authority on hot topics that are likely to get a lot of press during the year. Alternatively, if you have been finding it difficult to get traction with your issue in the media, this is a great opportunity to help journalists understand why the market you work in is important.

It's important to note that the presentations, while important, represent just the opening to the session and most of your interaction and discussion with the media, will take place at the round-tables. Focus on grabbing the journalist's attention so that you've got lots more to talk about, and dive into deeper, during the round tables.
