Updated: Apr 11, 2022

MediaConnect is delighted to announce the full keynote lineup for this year’s Tech Leaders forum, featuring MPs Fiona Scott and Jason Clare in addition to Data61 CEO Adrian Turner.

Tackling the innovation debate from both sides of Australia’s political spectrum, Liberal Member for Lindsay Fiona Scott and Labor’s Shadow Minister for Communications Jason Clare will both take the stage at Tech Leaders to share their own perspectives on the innovation boom with attending media and analysts.

Fiona Scott has held the seat of Lindsay since 2013 as a member of the Liberal Party, and graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Business, later receiving an MBA from the University of New South Wales. Her prior roles include positions at Inmarsat, Auto One, Yates and Westfield. She will speak on behalf of the government’s Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.

Jason Clare has acted as the Shadow Minister for Communications since 2013, and is elected in the Western Sydney seat of Blaxland. Clare’s previous experience includes working Minister for Defence Materiel, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Justice. He has also held an executive role at Transurban.

Adrian Turner will attend and speak as a representative of Data61, the new data innovation group created when National ICT Australia was absorbed by the CSIRO.

Turner is the co-founder of IoT company Mocana Corporation, a member of the Accenture Technology Vision External Advisory Board, the World Economic Forum IoT working group and the UTS Sydney Business School Advisory Board.

Additionally, Tech Leaders will include mini-keynotes from research houses Gartner, IBRS and Telsyte as well presentations from 18 leading technology companies.
