The TechLeaders conference, which connects journalists with technology companies, leaders and experts will reboot this year, with the event to be held on August 21 and 22 in the Blue Mountains.
“After 2 years of everyone working from home, we are seeing a thirst for people to reconnect in person, and that’s always been the central objective of TechLeaders,” said MediaConnect Group Chief Executive Officer, Phil Sim. “For that reason, we are re-birthing TechLeaders in 2022, because we think the industry has missed it and truly benefits from the event.” TechLeaders brings together journalists who write about technology issues to connect with technology experts and spokespeople from IT vendors, allowing them to network and learn from each other.
“Journalism is always at its best when it’s based on relationships and understanding,” Sim said. “However, with everyone being so time-poor that has become increasingly difficult.” “TechLeaders lets journalists take a couple of days out from their schedule to focus on meeting new sources and developing their understanding of technology trends.” “Meanwhile, for technology spokespeople and experts, they get unparalleled access to such a large number of technology journalists and the opportunity to help the media understand what’s coming down the road, in terms of technology trends, threats and opportunities.”
The event will be held at the Fairmont Resort in the Blue Mountains, starting with a keynote address on Sunday before concluding with a second keynote address on Monday afternoon.
